- Using google classroom/SeeSaw/Schoology (any online classroom) for students to see and complete assignments, upload work, message teacher, etc. This is a great tool for students when they miss school for an extended period of time.

- Build positive relationships with parents and guardians by calling or emailing them weekly about their students progress.

- Record lectures/instructions when you (the teacher) are missing class so that instructions do not get lost in translation between the substitute and the students.

- When filming instruction, use a talking point app so that you don't leave out any important information.

- Post videos to YouTube so students can refer back to specific lessons on their own time.

- Set up a Google Photos shared album for students and families to see progress being made in class.

- Using a texting app such as Remind to send a mass text to students and parents with reminders of what will be happening in class, important homework that needs to be completed, or any other announcements.
