Sussex Central High School is a standard high school serving the students of Sussex County from 9th-12th grade. SCHS offers both AP and IB courses, with a variety of pathways for students to explore what they may want to pursue after high school. The total student body population is just under 2,000. The Indian River School District consists of seven elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, one special school, an early learning center, an arts magnet school and an outdoor education center. Its schools serve 10,786 students and its workforce is among the largest in the state. The district has more than 900 teachers and 200 paraprofessionals.
